What is active today and what will require your consent in future.
1. What are cookies used for?
A cookie or tracker is information read from or stored on your device when you use an online service. Some are essential to its operation. Others may measure audiences, personalise services or fund a publication through advertising.
2. Current status of the Site

WordPress login cookies mainly concern the authenticated administrator. Ordinary visitors are not asked to create an account. When a comment is submitted, WordPress may offer to remember the name and email address locally; this remains optional. MailPoet uses basic mode: open pixels, click tracking and cookie tracking are disabled.
3. Your choice
Google AdSense code and Google’s consent-management platform are configured. Even without a visible advertisement, loading AdSense tags and consent resources may make technical requests to Google. No separate audience-measurement tool or newsletter-engagement tracking is enabled.
Deeply Curious uses Google’s consent-management platform, certified by Google and integrated with the IAB TCF. Where applicable, it must in particular:
- present “Accept all” and “Reject all” with comparable prominence;
- block optional trackers before a positive choice where consent is required;
- allow sufficiently granular choices about purposes and partners;
- allow the choice to be changed or withdrawn at any time;
- remember consent or refusal for a limited period and request a new choice when necessary.
4. Detailed tracker list
Items currently used:
- WordPress login and security cookies, only when necessary;
- optional comment cookies, only when the reader asks the browser to remember their information, for up to approximately one year;
- temporary technical data required by the newsletter form, with no visible or invisible CAPTCHA;
- font-file requests to Google Fonts on certain pages, without audience measurement by Deeply Curious;
- Google AdSense tags and Google consent-management resources, which may read or store identifiers according to the region, purposes and visitor’s choice.
The consent platform displays the current list of applicable purposes, providers and durations. No advertising placement is active as of this update.
5. Settings and questions
You can delete or block cookies in your browser and change your choice through the privacy-settings link added by Google when available. These actions may affect essential features or cause the Site to request your choice again.

Google Analytics 4 — your choice
Prepared but not activated on the Site; no Analytics measurement currently starts.
With your consent, Google Analytics 4 helps measure page views, visit sources, language and reading engagement. Google Ireland Limited processes technical visit data, including browser/device information and pseudonymous cookie identifiers. No email address, comment, form content, subscriber identifier or user_id is sent by this integration. Private URL parameters are excluded.
The Analytics tag is not loaded before consent. Refusal, an unavailable consent system or an unknown decision keeps it blocked. Consent given before Analytics was disclosed does not automatically enable this new measurement. Signed-in administrators and privacy-choice pages are excluded. Newsletter open/click tracking stays disabled.
Detailed event and user data are retained for two months without renewal on activity. Analytics cookies _ga and _ga_MXN3H78QN6 are limited to six months without automatic renewal. The essential dc_ga4_consent_notice setting records only the notice version and choice, not a visitor identifier, for up to six months. Cookie preferences can be changed, and Analytics consent withdrawn, using the controls at the bottom of the Site. Withdrawal stops future collection and removes this integration’s Analytics cookies; it does not erase past reports automatically.
